Coto Makassar Recipe

Hi Food Mania!!  Now we would like to share you How to make Coto Makassar and also Buras. Coto Makassar is an Indonesian culinary food  from Makassar, South Sulawesi. It is like a soup with seasoning broth made from starch. The main content of this soup is beef and it can be mixed with innards such as intestine, liver, lungs, heart, tripe. Coto Makassar served with Buras. Buras its like ‘lontong’ but it contains with coconut milk and the flavor is more delicious than lontong.

And this is how you can make Coto Makassar and Buras in your own kitchen, happy cooking Food Lovers 🙂

Coto Makassar

200 grams of beef brisket
2000 ml of water
100 grams of beef liver, boiled, cut in squares
100 grams of tripe, boiled, cut in squares
100 grams of lung, boiled, cut in squares
100 grams of the tongue, boiled, cut in squares
6 cm cinnamon
3 stalks lemongrass, take the white, crushed
2 tablespoons taoco
4 1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoons granulated sugar
3 tablespoons oil for sauteing

Spices:
12 grains of red onion
8 cloves of garlic
2 cm ginger
1 tablespoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
100 grams of peanuts without skin, roasted

How to make:
1. Boil the meat with water until cooked. Cut into pieces and strain the broth. Measure 2000 ml of water broth again. Bring to a boil again. Insert meat, beef liver, tripe, lungs, and tongue. Bring to a boil.
2. Heat the oil for sauteing. Saute spices, cinnamon, lemongrass, and taoco to harum.Tuang into stew meat.
3. Add salt and sugar. Cook until cooked.

Buras

ingredients:
250 gr rice, washed
750 ml coconut milk
1 bay leaf
salt to taste
Banana leaves (heated over the fire to be flexible)
provide rope to tie the ‘native’

how to make:
Steam the rice until half cooked about 15 minutes.
prepared pan, put coconut milk, salt, and bay leaves, and cook until boiling
then enter the rice already cooked, cook until the coconut milk is absorbed by the rice.
and Take a piece of banana leaf, fill with the dough, fold over and seal both ends using a rope. Simmer for 1 hour until cooked.
